Xiaomi has launched its first compact tablet under the Redmi brand — the Redmi K Pad. Featuring an 8.8-inch display, this portable tablet is designed to appeal to gamers, students, and productivity-focused users. The device was unveiled alongside the Mix Flip 2 and Redmi K80 Ultra.

The Redmi K Pad sports an 8.8-inch LCD display with a resolution of 3008×1880 and a 16:10 aspect ratio. This 3K-resolution panel supports a 165Hz refresh rate and a 372Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, it reaches 700 nits peak brightness and includes DC dimming, HDR10, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision support.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset built on a 3nm process. The octa-core CPU can reach speeds of up to 3.73GHz, paired with the Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU. A 12,050mm² vapor chamber ensures thermal control during extended gaming sessions.
The Redmi K Pad runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 out of the box. Fully integrated with the Xiaomi ecosystem, the software offers desktop-level app support, remote PC access, and cross-platform integration with Apple devices.
For cameras, it includes a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture (OV13B sensor) and an 8MP front camera (OV08D sensor). The tablet is equipped with a 7,500mAh battery supporting 67W wired fast charging. The Bypass Charging Plus system allows the tablet to draw power directly from the charger while gaming, helping manage battery temperature.
