More details have emerged for the Honor GT 2, Honor’s long-developed sub-flagship phone series. This series is expected to consist of two models, the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro, and will be released in November or December of this year. The latest leak has also revealed details about the device’s battery, processor, and charging.
Honor GT 2 Key Features
According to published reports, the Honor GT 2 will likely feature a massive 8,800mAh battery. For comparison, the first-generation Honor GT had a 7,200mAh battery and 100W charging support. Earlier this year, the brand introduced the Honor Power in China with an 8,000mAh battery, followed by the Honor X70 with an 8,300mAh battery. Now, it’s going even bigger.

Honor states that the GT 2 will offer up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The device is also expected to be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Elite, introduced last year, or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor planned for release this year.
The display is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED LTPS panel supporting 1.5K resolution. The GT 2 will also reportedly feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a metal midframe. As for the GT 2 Pro, it’s rumored to use the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, but other specifications are still unknown.
