According to a recent announcement by Porsche, Porsche Classic experts have successfully restored and reproduced the original emblem from 1954 with accuracy in terms of color and material. This means that the Porsche logo has changed. Here are the details…
The Porsche logo has changed
As of today, the Porsche logo has changed. However, if we were to put people through a test to find the 7 differences, most of them wouldn’t notice the subtle detailing work that has been done. In fact, the emblem type from 1963 has remained faithful for 60 years with small modifications made to perfect it.
According to the announcement, Porsche Classic experts subjected the new retro-designed Porsche emblem to various tests to meet high-quality requirements. For example, a climate change test was conducted at the Porsche Research and Development Center in Weissach. All tests were successfully passed.
Porsche Vice President Michael Mauer said:
“Our redesigned emblem, with its clean and modern application, represents the character of Porsche. We have reinterpreted its historical features and combined them with innovative design elements such as the honeycomb structure and brushed metal. The result represents a bold twist that combines the brand’s history and future from an aesthetic perspective.”
Porsche Chief Marketing Officer Robert Ader added:
“Another important aspect was aligning the 2D and 3D emblems. As a result, it can be felt not only in correspondence and printed materials but also on the vehicle itself. Therefore, our modernized emblem has become an opportunity to reimagine our brand design. We will use it more deliberately to emphasize emotional highlights. At the same time, the Porsche lettering will gain even greater importance.”
