As the competition in the smartphone market continues at full speed, brands don’t miss the chance to take jabs at each other. In many countries, including ours, companies can freely use other brands’ products in their promotions since there are no advertising restrictions. This often results in entertaining visuals. Google’s latest commercials are a testament to that.
Google targets iPhone models in their new commercials
In their new commercials, Google compares Pixel phones to iPhones. We see iPhone 14 Pro feeling envious of Pixel 7 Pro, particularly its camera features, in the commercial. Eventually, iPhone 14 Pro runs out of battery.
Another commercial focuses on space photography. Once again, we find iPhone 14 Pro complaining about not being able to capture space as well as Pixel 7 Pro. Apple’s attempt to solve this issue by using flash adds another layer of irony.
In the next video, Google takes a hit at Apple with its VPN feature. The commercial portrays an iPhone 14 Pro struggling and panicking about using public Wi-Fi while Pixel 7 Pro remains calm because of its built-in VPN service.
In another video, iPhone 14 Pro appears with a drained battery. Pixel 7 Pro revives the iPhone using its wireless charging feature. It seems like Google will continue to taunt Apple about battery life.
In the last video, we see Google’s foldable phone, Pixel Fold, instead of Pixel 7 Pro. While iPhone is speaking, it fails to recognize the difference, but Pixel Fold surprises Apple once again. It seems that Apple not having a foldable screen model yet will continue to be the subject of amusement for other brands for a while.
Google presents entertaining visuals in its commercials while also making clever jabs at Apple. What are your thoughts on Google’s Pixel and iPhone comparison commercials? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section.
