    The world’s fastest cabrio revealed

Bugatti Mistral has become the fastest open-top car. What does the limited number of vehicles developed on Chiron promise?

Bugatti once again broke the memorisations with its powerful engine. The limited edition Bugatti Mistral reached a jaw-dropping speed in a test at Germany’s Papenburg Automotive Test Centre. Accordingly, it officially won the title of the world’s fastest open-top car.

With driver Andy Wallace at the wheel, the Mistral accelerated to 453.91 km/h, beating the old record held by the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder. This achievement, certified by the independent inspection organisation SGS-TÜV Saar, is a testament to Bugatti’s engineering and design.

Sharing his feelings after the record attempt, Wallace drew attention to the power of the W16 engine and the adrenaline felt by the wind in the open cockpit. The lucky witness of this historic moment was a collector who owns the Mistral. The special vehicle, decorated with Jet Orange details, also references Bugatti’s record-breaking models of the past.
