Facebook has introduced a new update to its TikTok-style vertical videos. Facebook Watch, which first debuted in 2017, will also be affected by the changes. With the update to the application, the name Video will be used instead of Watch, and it will also be possible to make horizontal videos vertical.
Facebook enhances Reels with new features and editing tools
Meta is working to make Reels videos a more popular video format on both Facebook and Instagram. The Facebook update brings changes to many aspects of video.
One of the most important changes is that the ‘Watch’ tab has now been renamed ‘Video’. This will make it easier for users to find all videos on the platform, including reels, long videos and live videos. It will also be possible to comment on a Reel on Instagram via Facebook.
Another change is the addition of editing tools for reels to all videos. This will allow users to edit their videos in one place without having to switch between apps.
The editing tools are also getting more features. It will be easier to find the right audio track, reduce noise and record audio over a video. These features will help creators improve the audio quality of their videos.
Discovering videos will also become easier with the redesign of the Video page. The new Video tab will allow users to browse videos based on hashtags and topics. This will help people find videos they are interested in and discover new creators.
All of these changes are currently live on Facebook’s Android and iOS apps.
