Sony unveiled the PlayStation Earbuds wireless headset at its Showcase last May. New documents indicate that the wireless headphones will be released soon. In addition, PlayStation Earbuds features have also leaked with these documents.
PlayStation Earbuds comes with noise cancellation
In the PlayStation Earbuds files prepared for the US Federal Communications Commission (FTC), details of the headset were revealed. Accordingly, Sony has filed a “Wireless Noise Cancelling Gaming Headset” application consisting of left and right earbuds.
According to the applications, Sony will market its new headset through noise cancellation. Although not much information was given at the announcement in May, it is worth noting that the device will have a design compatible with the PlayStation family.
After the PlayStation Showcase, rumors spread that these headphones would have a charging case similar to Nothing’s transparent case. However, drawings provided to the FCC show that the charging case will be standard, similar to the Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones.
Despite the lack of Bluetooth connectivity on the PS5, it’s notable that the new headphones come with the PlayStation name. It should be recalled that Sony also unveiled the INZONE brand for gamers a while ago.
The launch of gaming-focused wireless headphones suggests that Sony is looking to expand its family of PS5-optimized accessories. More details on the specs, price and timing of the new headset’s release will likely emerge in the coming months.
