Honor has managed to create the thinnest foldable phone among foldable devices with its new phone, the Magic V2. Following its introduction in China, the Honor Magic V2 is now set to be sold worldwide as the thinnest foldable phone on the market.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the Magic V2 is backed by 16 GB of RAM. On the GPU side, it utilizes the Adreno 740, and it comes with 1 TB of internal storage. Inside the chassis, the Magic V2 houses a 5000 mAh battery, which supports 66W fast charging.
As a foldable device, the Magic V2 features two screens. On the outside, there’s a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1060 x 2376 pixels. This screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and can reach a brightness of 2500 nits. On the inside, you’ll find a 7.92-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2156 x 2344 pixels. This internal screen also offers a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, with a brightness of 1600 nits, making it quite impressive.
The Honor Magic V2 comes with a 50-megapixel OIS-equipped main camera on the rear, accompanied by a 20-megapixel telephoto camera with 2.5x zoom and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel selfie camera capable of recording 4K video at 30fps. Additionally, it features 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, and runs on the Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1 operating system.
Now, let’s talk about the device’s design. As mentioned earlier, the Honor Magic V2 is currently touted as the thinnest foldable phone on the market. When unfolded, it measures just 4.7mm in thickness, expanding to 9.9mm when folded. The total weight is approximately 231 grams, making it lighter than both the S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The device boasts a sleek metal design and is available in four different colors: Black, Silk Black, Silk Purple, and Gold.
