The year 2023 we are in will undoubtedly be remembered as the rebirth of artificial intelligence in the future. Among the pioneers of this process is Google, with its chat-based artificial intelligence tool Bard, which uses the LaMDA language family. Moreover, it is now much more capable. Here are the details…
Google Bard has improved itself with user feedback!
A new announcement has been made for Google Bard today. The shared information stated that with the updates made for user feedback and the new generation expansive language model, PaLM2, Bard has become more intuitive, imaginative, and responsive than ever before worldwide, with its capabilities accelerated.
It was particularly emphasized that user feedback has been quite beneficial. For example, it was revealed that special learning techniques were used to make artificial intelligence more intuitive and imaginative by adding like and dislike buttons to responses.
In addition, Bard now allows people to collaborate on creative projects. For example, it enables people to start in any language and continue in more than 40 languages and countries, request in-depth coding assistance, or acquire high-quality and accurate information on new topics from different perspectives.
Bard extensions are coming!
In an announcement made by Google, the following was stated:
- We are taking an important step in pulling information from Google applications and services you trust daily to expand Bard’s capabilities.
- Bard can now retrieve real-time information from Maps, YouTube, Hotels, and Flights and assist you in working with them. It can gather the information you need from various sources and help you bring your ideas to life more easily and quickly. These extensions are enabled by default and can be disabled at any time.
- Now, not only with the world’s information but also with your own information, you can collaborate in one place with Bard as your creative partner. You can allow Bard to interact with the information in your Gmail, Docs, and Drive, allowing you to search, summarize, and answer questions in your personal content. Your Google Workspace data will not be used to train Bard’s general model and can be disabled at any time.
- The real magic of extensions comes from your ability to bring them together in an intuitive and natural way, just like talking to a friend. We spend our lives switching between apps and tabs, but with extensions, Bard now has a range of helpers that can retrieve only the information you need from these apps and services. So instead of spending hours researching flights and plans for Valentine’s Day, you can simply ask Bard to research flights for Valentine’s Day, find places to buy flowers near the airport, and even write a poem to surprise someone special.
- Bard introduces another new capability. This is the ability to converse with other applications and services to provide more useful responses. This is still a relatively new field for artificial intelligence. It is still learning and evolving rapidly, but it is being introduced to accelerate progress with user feedback.

Check Bard’s responses with Google It v2 once again
- What: With the Google Search-supported [G] button, you can check Bard’s artificial intelligence-generated responses. Currently available only in English, this feature highlights an expression in Bard’s response if the reliability of that expression can be determined. You can click on the expression for more information.
- Note: The provided links are content found by Search, and this does not mean that Bard is aware of the content in its response.
- Why: People use artificial intelligence tools to better understand complex subjects with new methods. While continuing your learning journey with Bard, it is important to ensure the reliability of the information generated by artificial intelligence.
Benefit from the conversations shared with you
- What: When someone shares a Bard conversation with you using the public link-sharing feature, you can continue this conversation in your account and pick up where they left off.
- Why: Creativity often takes inspiration from the work of others. The more ideas you work with, the more likely you are to find something truly innovative. Therefore, we make it easier for you to use conversations shared by others as a starting point for your own creative journey.
More features supported in all languages
- What: In all supported languages, you can upload visuals with Google Lens, receive Google Search images in responses, and modify Bard’s responses to be simpler, longer, shorter, more professional, or more casual.
- Why: Providing the option to modify responses to better suit your needs gives you more control in the creative process. Using images as part of your queries unlocks a new level of creativity. Responses supported by images can also help bring ideas to life.
