Oppo A79 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC
Oppo‘s latest smartphone, Oppo A79 5G, gets its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, which is rebranded Dimensity 700. The chipset has dual 2.2GHz Cortex-A76, hexa 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores, and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Additionally, the A79 5G has 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
On the display side, the mid-range smartphone features a 6.72-inch (2400 x 1080 pixels) FHD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. While it has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC charging support, it runs Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1 out of the box.
In terms of camera, the A79 5G is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a Samsung JN1 sensor, a 2-megapixel portrait camera with OV02B1B sensor f/2.4 aperture on the back, and it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front.
The OPPO A79 5G comes in Mystery Black and Glowing Green color options and is priced at Rs. 19,999. The phone will be available starting tomorrow, October 28, 2023, at the OPPO Store, Flipkart, Amazon, and other retail outlets.
