No one is unfamiliar with Dying Light, released in 2015 and currently among the world’s most popular games. Developed by Techland, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a large outbreak turns people into zombies. Dying Light received great acclaim not only for its story but also for its parkour mechanics.
Following this success, Techland released the sequel to the series, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, in February 2022. This game also managed to impress players with its mechanics. Today, however, an employee of Techland made a noteworthy confession about Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
They couldn’t meet the target for Dying Light 2 Stay Human!
Recently, it emerged that Dying Light 2 Stay Human had been played less than the first game. The PCGamesN team conducted an interview with Tymon Smektala, responsible for the development of the Dying Light series at Techland. In this interview, Smektala was asked about his thoughts on the second game not receiving the expected interest.
Smektala stated that although Dying Light had rich content, it was difficult for the second game to surpass it due to being sold at an affordable price. Nevertheless, he emphasized that they were pleased with developing both games.
Transparently speaking in the interview, Smektala admitted that Techland did not meet its target for Dying Light 2 Stay Human. However, he stated that they were determined to continue the development process by taking into account what players want.
According to feedback from players, the first game offers more action in terms of parkour mechanics compared to the second game. Additionally, it is said that Dying Light has a more frightening atmosphere.
Of course, not everyone thinks this way. Some say that Dying Light 2 Stay Human is scarier. However, the majority thinks otherwise.
