Actor Ian Gelder, known for his role as Kevan Lannister, one of the unforgettable characters of the Game of Thrones series, has died at the age of 74. Gelder died on Monday after being diagnosed with bile duct cancer in December, Daniels said. He attributed Gelder’s death to a disease called cholangiocarcinoma, a rare disease in which cancer cells form in the tubes that connect the bile duct, liver, gallbladder and small intestine, according to the National Cancer Institute in the US.
In his letter, Daniels described Gelder as “the kindest, most generous and loving person” and emphasized that he was a “wonderful actor”. He said Gelder was an actor who moved audiences with his stage and screen performances.
