Sony has released a comprehensive system update for PlayStation 5 users. This update includes a number of important features that give players more customization and connectivity options.
What’s new with the PlayStation 5 update
One of the most striking innovations of the update will be the Welcome hub. This feature will transform the PS5 home screen into a space with customizable widgets and backgrounds. Replacing the old Explore tab, the Welcome hub will create a customized user interface.
Another important innovation is Party Sharing. With this feature, users will be able to share voice chat party links via messaging apps. Even if they are not online on PS5, they will be able to let their friends join voice sessions.
The update also allows you to create personalized 3D audio profiles via PlayStation Camera. The update also includes an adaptive charging feature designed to optimize the battery life of the DualSense controller. This feature aims to extend battery life by tracking charging patterns.
Adaptive charging will be supported on DualSense, DualSense Edge and PSVR2 controllers connected to PlayStation 5. The PS5’s remote playback tool has also been updated.
Don’t forget to download the PS5 system software as well as the controller firmware to take advantage of the new features. It should be noted that all features will be available in the coming weeks.
