Epic Games has provided fans with their first details on what to expect for Fortnitemares 2024, Fortnite’s annual Halloween in-game event. According to leaks, Fortnitemares is set to kick off on October 15th alongside the upcoming 31.40 update.

As with past years, players can look forward to a map overhaul with fog and Halloween decorations. Epic will also be adding new quests, NPCs, skins, and weapons with a spooky theme. Leakers have uncovered clues of a new Boss NPC dropping powerful Halloween-themed weapons.
The Platform 2 first trailer has been released. The dystopian prison will return, with new prisoners and new challenges.
In terms of crossover content, fans hope to see the addition of characters from popular horror franchises. Rumored collaborations include an Anti-Venom skin from Spider-Man, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, and Billy the Puppet from the Saw movies. There is also chatter of a second wave of Nightmare Before Christmas items.
A mysterious leaked LEGO Fortnite Halloween trailer hints at a new creepy spider-like creature coming to the game as well. Additionally, Epic is welcoming creator islands focused on social deduction modes like survival and escape to be featured in Fortnitemares.
