Sad news has arrived for Football Manager 25. Sports Interactive and Sega have postponed the game’s release date to March 2025, disappointing football fans on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms.
Football Manager 25 (FM25) has been postponed
The release date of Football Manager 25 has been postponed to March 2025 by Sports Interactive and Sega. Players were eagerly awaiting the release date planned for November 26 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox, and December 3 for Nintendo Switch.
In a statement made by Sports Interactive, it was stated that more time was needed for the game to “reach high quality standards”. It was emphasized that FM25 includes significant technical and visual improvements compared to previous versions.
Studio Head Miles Jacobson admitted that the extended development time has put pressure on the company. He said that a rushed release in November could jeopardize its standards. Accordingly, Jacobson emphasized that FM25 will be an important turning point for the long-running series.
Players who pre-order digitally will be able to get a refund. Early access for PC and Mac will be available before the March release date.
Sports Interactive aims to share new gameplay features in late January. Although the postponement news is sad for fans, it seems to be quite important for the next version of the Football Manager series.
