Tom Holland made the official announcement for Spider-Man 4, which has been on the agenda with leaks for a while.The famous actor announced the release date of the movie and shared his first comments on the script. So will Zendaya return as MJ?
Spider-Man 4 will be released on July 24, 2026
Tom Holland confirmed that the fourth Spider-Man movie will be released on July 24, 2026. Appearing on The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Holland revealed that the shooting of the yet-untitled Spider-Man movie is scheduled to begin in mid-2025.
Holland said, “We start shooting next summer. Everything is going well – we are almost ready. It’s very exciting. I can’t wait,” he said.
The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings. Cretton will take over the Spider-Man franchise from Jon Watts, who directed the previous trilogy.
Spider-Man 4 will also be released on May 1, 2026, shortly after Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released on May 1, 2026. This is a few months after Avengers: Endgame, which was released a few months after 2019’s Spider-Man: Far from Home, which was released a few months after Avengers: Endgame.
Holland said in a recent interview that he has read the script for Spider-Man 4 and that the writers are making progress. However, he said that more work needs to be done on the script. Holland has previously played Spider-Man in three Marvel-Sony collaborations. It is not yet clear whether Zendaya will return as MJ.
