Netflix’s ad-supported subscription plan continues its rapid growth. Launched in 2022, the plan has gradually expanded to other countries and now boasts millions of subscribers. Recently, Netflix announced the global subscriber count for its ad-supported service.
Netflix’s Ad-Supported Subscription Reaches 70 Million Users
Yesterday, the platform revealed that its ad-supported subscription package has reached 70 million users worldwide. Considering that this number was 40 million in May and 22 million in January, it’s clear that there has been significant growth.
Netflix’s VP of Advertising, Amy Reinhard, stated, “We are seeing steady growth in member numbers across all countries. Now, over 50% of new Netflix sign-ups in countries where the ad-supported plan is offered are opting for the ad-supported plan.”
Reinhard’s emphasis on the fact that over 50% of new registrations in countries with the ad-supported plan are choosing this option suggests that the total subscriber count worldwide will continue to grow rapidly.
