After launching the Tizen update with One UI for smart TVs, Samsung is rolling out the same new feature for its smart monitors in the Odyssey, Smart Monitor and ViewFinity series. The interface comes with Tizen 8 and many new features. Here are the details
Staggered rollout of One UI update on smart displays begins
According to SamMobile, One UI is rolling out for smart displays with Tizen OS and a TV remote control, as it is compatible with the new interface features.
New features include new recommendations tabs, Live and Apps, Watch later menu, Samsung Daily+, which offers lifestyle services with specialised experiences, recommendations, and recent searches in the Search menu.
In addition, smart displays can now be controlled with the same keyboard and mouse paired with other Samsung devices such as tablets, computers and smart TVs.
If you have a Galaxy Watch, you can start an exercise from the Daily+ menu to see the vital signs it captures in real time on your monitor screen.
It is now possible to control devices connected to Smart Things, including viewing security cameras, using Samsung smart displays.
Samsung recently updated Game Bar, bringing new accessibility options, screen sharing, security systems, web engine 108, and Tizen to version 8.0.
The update is gradually rolling out in South Korea and is expected to reach more regions worldwide in the coming weeks.
