The world of mobile technology continues to push the boundaries every year. Smartphone manufacturers are trying to make their devices more powerful while also offering thinner and more stylish designs. This is exactly where Tecno’s new concept phone announced before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) made a big splash. Tecno Spark Slim, which is only 5.75 mm thick, holds the title of the world’s thinnest smartphone. However, this thin design does not mean that its features are compromised. Here are the details…
Tecno Spark Slim features
The Spark Slim model introduced by Tecno pushes the boundaries with its remarkable features. The device, which is only 5.75 mm thick, houses powerful hardware despite its ultra-thin structure. The phone has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen. Offering 1224p resolution, this screen promises a very smooth use with a 144 Hz refresh rate. In addition, thanks to its 4,500 nits of peak brightness, it offers a screen experience that can be easily seen even in direct sunlight.

Spark Slim, which is also ambitious on the camera side, has two 50 Megapixel sensors on the back. There is a 13 Megapixel selfie camera on the front. The device, which is expected to offer a very satisfactory performance in terms of photography and video, will be reviewed in detail at MWC.
One of the most striking features of the phone is its battery. The 5,200 mAh battery, which is only 4.04 mm thick, offers 45W fast charging support. This is a feature we are not used to seeing in ultra-thin phones. While battery capacity is usually compromised for the sake of thinness, Tecno seems to have managed to overcome this problem.
However, there is an important point here: Spark Slim is only a concept phone for now. In other words, no information has been shared about when the device will be released or whether it will be available for sale. Tecno will exhibit demo units at MWC and allow visitors to experience it. However, it does not seem likely that the device will be offered to the market in its current form.

No clear information was given about the device’s processor either. Although the company states that the phone has an eight-core processor, it would not be realistic to expect a flagship-level chipset. Because there is not enough space for an advanced cooling system in such a thin device. Therefore, it is estimated that the phone will come with a more mid-range processor.
