YouTube has officially launched its AI-powered music creation tool for content creators. With the latest update, users will now be able to produce original instrumental music with AI.
YouTube has developed an AI-powered music creation tool
The new tool is located in a section called “Music Assistant” in the Creator Music tab. In this tab, users can write what kind of music they want in the free text box. Items that can be used in the descriptions include details such as instrument preferences, mood, and video type.

Some sample prompts are also provided to give content creators an idea. Artificial intelligence produces multiple music tracks based on the entered text. In addition, the music created can be downloaded and added to videos. Moreover, this content is available for free and does not create copyright issues.
Creator Music is known as a music licensing platform launched in 2023. This platform was created to help content creators find music for their videos and understand the costs of these music more easily.
The new AI feature will make it easier for users to access completely original background music that does not require licensing. The feature is currently only available to creators in the US who are part of the YouTube Partner Program.
YouTube has previously tested an experimental AI tool called “Dream Track,” built on DeepMind’s Lyria model. The tool allows users to create 30-second music in the style of well-known artists. However, Dream Track is largely limited to instrumental music.
