Google is entering a significant period of innovation in smartwatches. The company officially announced Wear OS 6, developed for wearable technologies. The new version, which is announced to be released in the coming months, will have the Gemini assistant supported by artificial intelligence.
Gemini support is officially coming to smartwatches
We can say that the most prominent feature of Wear OS 6 is the integration of Gemini artificial intelligence instead of Google Assistant. Gemini not only responds to voice commands; it also provides a more natural interaction by understanding natural language.

For example, when the user gives a command such as “I have to wake up at 7 tomorrow, wake me up at that time”, Gemini understands this request and automatically sets the alarm. However, Gemini requires an active internet connection to work. This connection can be provided via Bluetooth, direct Wi-Fi or LTE.
The user interface will also be redesigned with the new version. The Expressive design language based on Material 3 has been optimized specifically for round screens. A more intuitive use will be offered with fonts, animations and icons.
Notifications are now displayed with images and avatars, making it easier to understand who is sending the message or what the incoming content is. Android’s theme color support has also been moved to Wear OS 6.
Google can also offer a significant improvement in battery life with Wear OS 6. It promises up to 10 percent longer battery life, especially in daily use. So what do you think about this? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
