The South Korea-based technology giant is committed to providing software support for its flagship devices for a full seven years with the Galaxy S24 series. The company also plans to offer updates for up to six years to its affordable models, such as the Galaxy A16 5G, without limiting itself to the upper segment. Samsung officially announced its new update policy while introducing the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024. In this context, it was stated that the newly released flagship models will receive Android, One UI and security updates for seven years. It is stated that the latest models to benefit from this updated policy of the brand are the recently introduced Galaxy S25 series.
