Samsung continues to expand its product lineup. The South Korean company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series in 2026, and now, two models from the lineup appear to have passed a significant milestone.
Galaxy S26 Edge and S26 Ultra Spotted in IMEI Database
The Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Ultra have been listed in the GSMA IMEI database ahead of their official launch next year.

According to the listing, the Galaxy S26 Edge is registered with the model number SM-S947U. Meanwhile, the S26 Ultra appears with model numbers SM-S948U and SM-S948N. As usual, the “U” suffix refers to the U.S. variants, while the “N” denotes the South Korean version. Global versions are also expected to be available.
So far, the standard Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus have not been listed in the IMEI database. However, they are expected to surface soon.
What stands out the most here is that the Galaxy S26 Edge is appearing in the IMEI database alongside the Ultra model. This suggests that Samsung may launch the slimmer Edge model at the same time as the rest of the S26 series. For reference, the Galaxy S25 series included the standard, Plus, and Ultra models at the start of the year, with the Edge model introduced later.
The Galaxy S26 series also appears to mark the return of Samsung’s dual-chipset strategy, varying by region. Unless there’s a last-minute change, the Galaxy S26 lineup will likely feature both Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets.
