With the recent launch of the Galaxy Watch 8 series, Samsung has updated its smartwatch ecosystem on both hardware and software. The new models include the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra, due out in 2025.
New Galaxy Watch 8 watch faces are becoming more widespread
The new-generation devices come out of the box with the One UI 8 Watch software and come with seven striking new watch faces. The company announced that these watch faces will not be exclusive to the new models. The new faces will also be added to older Galaxy Watch models with the One UI 8 Watch update.

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic model attracted attention from previous users, particularly with the return of the physical rotating bezel. The overall design of the watches follows a similar pattern to previous versions of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, with rounded corners and more defined lines.
However, the software changes aren’t limited to new hardware owners. As in previous years, Samsung continues its policy of bringing some features from the new software version to older models.
The watch faces included with the One UI 8 Watch include Sporty Classic, Heritage Classic, Daily Dashboard, Circle Dashboard, Minimal Analog, Minimal Digital, and Dynamic Digits, all of which cater to a variety of tastes. Sporty Classic offers a sporty look with realistic chronograph details and material reflections, while Heritage Classic draws inspiration from traditional Guilloché patterns.
Daily Dashboard offers a nature-inspired experience with smooth transitions that change with the time of day. Circle Dashboard creates a dynamic interface with exercise-themed graphics. For those who prefer a clean analog and digital design, there are Minimal Analog and Minimal Digital faces, while Dynamic Digits stands out with its racetrack-inspired numeral design.
The new watch faces can be downloaded through the Galaxy Wearable app. Initially available for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 6 series, the faces will be available on more models over time.
A definitive list of which models Samsung will include has not yet been released. However, considering the update policies in recent years, the Galaxy Watch 5 and even the Watch 4 series are also expected to benefit from this update.
