Samsung has begun developing a successor to the Galaxy S25 Edge, which it unveiled in May. While not many details about the Galaxy S26 Edge have been shared until now, this has now changed. Recent developments reveal just how thin the phone will be.
The Galaxy S26 Edge will be thinner than its predecessor
According to reliable source Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Edge will be just 5.5 mm thick and will have a battery capacity of 4,200 mAh. As previously reported, the S25 Edge was 5.8 mm thick, suggesting that the upcoming phone will be thinner than its predecessor.

Despite a 0.3 mm thinner body, the S26 Edge will maintain its battery capacity at 4,200 mAh. The device will reportedly launch alongside the standard S26 Pro and S26 Ultra. This model will replace the Galaxy S25 Plus, effectively abandoning the Plus model lineup. Considering these claims, we can predict that the upcoming series will feature significant changes.
On the design front, there’s a major change to the display bezels. The S26 Edge will achieve a more modern look by minimizing the bezel thickness. This new design, which almost completely removes the borders around the screen, appears to make the device’s overall lines even simpler and more elegant.
