EA has officially announced the new ICON class for EA SPORTS FC 26, heralding the long-awaited moment for football fans. The full list of 12 new ICONs, who will be added to the game with FC 26 and who have played a significant role in shaping modern football, is as follows:

- Alex Morgan
- Andrés Iniesta
- Toni Kroos
- Caroline Seger
- Giorgio Chiellini
- Sissi
- Francesco Totti
- Marcelo
- Steffi Jones
- Oliver Kahn
- Cha Bum-Kun
Zlatan Ibrahimović, the cover star of FC 26 Ultimate Edition, shared his excitement, saying, “No matter what they say, Zlatan is back! To the fans who have always believed in me, now you can play as Zlatan, as an ICON, the way it was meant to be played.”
USWNT legend Alex Morgan said, “I’m thrilled to be able to further my legacy as an ICON in FC 26. It’s an honor to be among the ICONs of this game. I hope to continue inspiring the next generation of players who dream of making their mark on the pitch.”
FC 26 will stand out with its modes
Ultimate Team: Players will enjoy smoother dribbling, faster passing, and unlimited control with new ICONs. Additionally, those who pre-order the FC 26 Ultimate Edition by August 26th will receive a non-tradeable Debut ICON from a 15-man roster featuring legends like R9, Thierry Henry, and Steven Gerrard. This card will be upgraded to a more powerful Champion ICON version in November.
Clubs: In FC 26’s Clubs mode, some of the new ICONs will inspire new playstyles, allowing players to customize their Pros. Some of these types include:
- Zlatan Ibrahimović: Target
- Alex Morgan: Finisher
- Toni Kroos: Maestro
- Oliver Kahn: Goalkeeper
- Andrés Iniesta: Creator
Taking community feedback into account, EA has already added all new male ICONs to FC Mobile. Special events are also planned for mobile players:
- Chronicles: Earn ICON player items by replaying Zlatan Ibrahimović’s career moments.
- Challenges: Earn ICON items by completing special objectives throughout August.
- Live Events: New live events featuring player items and star passes.
EA SPORTS FC 26 will be released worldwide on September 26, 2025. Purchasers of the Ultimate Edition will have early access to the game starting September 19, 2025. Pre-orders are now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
EA Play members will be able to take advantage of a 10-hour early access trial starting September 19th. They will also receive additional benefits, such as a 10% discount on EA digital content.
