Yandex Turkey has taken a significant step forward in service resilience and performance with the establishment of a new local server infrastructure within the country. This investment ensures that data is processed entirely within Turkey, providing Turkish users with faster, more reliable, and uninterrupted access to Yandex services.

The new server network ensures high availability and rapid response, especially during periods of sudden and intense demand increases. For example, on September 4, 2025, Yandex search engine traffic surged dramatically, with searches on yandex.com.tr reaching five times the average at 10:20 a.m. This surge continued for approximately one hour on mobile and desktop devices.
Yandex Turkey General Manager and Yandex Search International CEO Alexander Popovskiy commented on the matter: “Such traffic fluctuations are common in today’s digital world. However, this situation once again underscores the importance of local infrastructure. Our new server network is designed to overcome these very challenges.”
The new server infrastructure is already actively serving users on some local networks. Yandex Turkey previously successfully completed its registration with the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), ensuring that user data is processed to the highest privacy and security standards.
Alexander Popovskiy continued: “We aim to be a loyal and committed business partner in Turkey. We don’t just view Turkey as a market; we also focus on deeply understanding local needs and developing solutions accordingly. We develop all our products and services with this approach. Our infrastructure investment is not just a technical step; it is also a concrete demonstration of our reliability, superior performance, and commitment to our users under all circumstances.”
