Intel has created a new driver branch for the integrated graphics of its 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th-generation Core processors. With this step, the company is making a significant change to its driver strategy. This new arrangement separates the Intel UHD and Iris Xe graphics cards included with these processors from the Arc and Core Ultra series.
Intel is shifting its driver strategy
The new driver package was released with version 7076, while the drivers for the Arc series remain at version 7029. This separation indicates that Intel will focus on the Arc and Core Ultra series in future driver updates.

The company is gradually phasing out older-generation processors. Intel has not released new drivers for its 7th-10th generation processors since March. This suggests that the new driver branch for 11th-14th generations will receive slower updates in the future. Intel is shifting its focus to next-generation graphics cards.
Intel’s decision is similar to the strategies of other chip manufacturers like NVIDIA and AMD. NVIDIA is ending support for the Maxwell architecture, while AMD is reducing updates for its older GPUs. This is part of a trend among tech companies to focus on new products.
