A new report on the PlayStation 5 Pro, shared today on Dealabs by billbil-kun, a company that has repeatedly proven its reliability in new video game and hardware launches, reveals that the new CFI-7121 hardware revision, discovered in Japanese certification documents, is in development.
What will change with the new PlayStation 5 Pro?
The refreshed hardware is claimed to be released in Europe on September 30th. Changes in this new hardware revision are expected to be limited to improved energy efficiency, so there will be no changes to the console’s design or the system’s SSD capacity, remaining at 2 TB, as in the current model. It is also claimed that the new hardware revision will retain its current price tag of €799.99. It is currently unclear whether the revision will be released in North America or other regions.

The PlayStation 5 Pro offers significantly more features than the base PlayStation 5 models, including PSSR booster support, and these features will be further enhanced next year.
The new PlayStation 5 Pro hardware revision has not yet been officially confirmed. However, information from billbil-kun, known for his high accuracy in past leaks, and the inclusion of the new revision in the same certification documents that confirmed the Digital Edition CFI-2000 model, which went on sale in Europe this week, significantly increase the likelihood of a European release for the system in the coming days.
On the other hand, there’s no need to rush to purchase the current PS5 Pro model, as the changes likely to come with the revision may not be readily apparent in daily use. This appears to be an update implemented solely to reduce costs thanks to advanced production technologies.
