The Withings U-Scan is officially available globally. After its CES debut and a lengthy approval process, the smart toilet-based health tracker is now ready to order with two models targeting either nutrition or kidney health.
Withings U-Scan offers two versions at launch
The Withings U-Scan comes in two main variants. Nutrio focuses on dietary biomarkers, while Calci is built for kidney monitoring. Both versions rely on thermal sensors to detect use, then automatically collect and analyze a urine sample.
Data syncs directly to the Withings app, where users can access metrics and health tips tailored to their test results.
What Nutrio and Calci versions actually track
Each version targets a specific health category:
- U-Scan Nutrio: Measures hydration, vitamin C, ketone levels, and bio-acidity.
- U-Scan Calci: Tracks calcium, hydration, and acidity key markers for kidney stone risk.
These systems don’t require manual input or test strips. Once placed inside the toilet bowl, they do the job automatically.
Withings U-Scan includes cleaning and charging dock
The device ships with the U-Scan Station, which cleans and charges the unit between uses. That helps maintain hygiene while keeping the test cartridges ready.
Speaking of cartridges, users choose between two usage plans:
- Proactive Package: One cartridge for infrequent checks
- Intensive Package: Two cartridges for more regular sampling
Global pricing and cartridge plan details
