The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is poised to usher in a new era in smartphone photography with its LOFIC technology camera. Recent industry leaks reveal that the device will boast exceptional camera capabilities and upgraded optical hardware.

According to reliable source Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s main camera will feature a large sensor with an f/1.6 aperture. This sensor will be paired with next-generation LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology to improve light management and reduce glare. This will enable clearer and higher-quality photos, especially in low-light conditions.

The most prominent upgrade will be a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. This lens is said to offer superior performance in mid- to long-range zoom. Leaked information also suggests that it will provide enhanced focusing versatility using Xiaomi’s proprietary full-lens optical system. This hardware will also define the device’s design language and will feature a large, circular camera module.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s other features are also flagship-level. The device is expected to feature a 6.9-inch 2K resolution 120Hz OLED display. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the phone will also feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and an advanced vibration motor.
