ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition keyboard, chosen by brand ambassador Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut. This compact 65% gaming keyboard is equipped with features like pre-lubricated ROG HFX magnetic switches, Quick Trigger toggle, an 8000Hz refresh rate, integrated five-layer damping, and silicone gasket mounting for an enhanced typing experience. The keyboard also features a custom design that reflects ZywOo’s focused mindset and competitive spirit.
Considered one of the greatest Counter-Strike players of all time, ZywOo is known for his cool decision-making, precise aiming, and performance under pressure. This is just the beginning for ZywOo, who has already had a stellar career, boasting multiple HLTV #1 titles, two Major MVPs, and two Counter-Strike Major Championships.
ROG HFX Magnetic Switches
ROG HFX magnetic switches are designed and pre-lubricated for lightning-fast, ultra-responsive performance and a durable feel with a 100 million keystroke lifespan. Designed for smooth keystrokes, the switch housing and bottom housing are made of POM plastic, while the top housing is made of polycarbonate. Furthermore, the walled housing design enhances stability and keeps dust out. The protected stem design increases key durability and prevents dust ingress.
An adjustable actuation range of 0.1–4.0 mm offers a solution to suit every user’s typing preference. The actuation point can be set via the multifunction button and touchpad, or via Gear Link software.
In Quick Touch mode, when the system detects two key presses (e.g., A and D), it prioritizes the last press and automatically releases the previous one. This means that during FPS games, the character won’t stop moving when two opposing directional keys are pressed. Instead, direction changes can now be made instantly by releasing the previous key, eliminating the time delay for counterattacks and ensuring precise aiming every time.
Traditional mechanical switches require resetting before the next click is registered. With ROG HFX magnetic switches and Quick Trigger, the switch instantly resets as it moves upward, providing maximum travel potential with minimal effort. Unlike most competing keyboards that require the user to access keyboard software menus to enable or disable Quick Trigger mode, the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition features a built-in switch to conveniently switch between normal and Quick Trigger mode for the fastest typing response and rapid key repeat.
The Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition’s 8000Hz refresh rate provides a 0.125ms response time, up to 8x faster than competing keyboards.
Integrated five-layer damping and silicone gasket construction absorb pinging noises and provide a more cushioned typing feel for enhanced typing experiences. Competing gaming keyboards and keyboards with analog switches simply can’t match the keystroke acoustics of the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition.
The Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition features two USB-C® ports on either side of the keyboard’s rear edge, allowing users to connect two computers simultaneously and quickly switch between them. The port layout also allows for more flexible and organized setups.
The included keyboard cover protects the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition from dust when not in use. It can also be placed under the keyboard as a tray.
