Gamma, a startup that creates AI-powered PowerPoint-like presentations, websites, and social media posts, announced it has secured a significant investment. The company announced Monday that it has raised $68 million in a Series B round led by Andreessen Horowitz. With this latest round, Gamma’s total valuation reaches $2.1 billion.

Gamma’s co-founder and CEO, Grant Lee, shared key figures on the company’s success on social media platform X. Lee stated that the company has profitably reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and has 70 million users. In a previous post, the startup announced that it had achieved $50 million in revenue profitably in its first two years.
Gamma isn’t exactly a new startup by AI standards. According to CEO Lee’s LinkedIn profile, the company was founded in late 2020 and its product was first released in 2022. The company last raised $12 million in a Series A round led by Accel in 2024.
The company’s surpassing the $2 billion threshold, a “double unicorn,” occurred after a more cautious fundraising trajectory compared to other investments in the AI sector. Gamma reached a valuation of $2.1 billion with a total of approximately $90 million in funding. Grant Lee emphasized that this success was achieved with a small team of approximately 50 employees.
The latest round also included a secondary offering that provided liquidity to early-stage investors. Andreessen Horowitz, along with other existing backers such as Accel, Uncork Capital, South Park Commons, and Hustle Fund, participated in the round.
