Xiaomi isn’t stopping at just a smartphone this holiday season. Alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra flagship, the company will unveil two new wearables: the Xiaomi Watch 5 and Xiaomi Buds 6. And judging by the teasers, these aren’t your typical add-ons, they’re aiming squarely at the premium segment.
Xiaomi Watch 5 brings ECG, EMG, and sapphire glass

The Xiaomi Watch 5 is shaping up to be one of the most advanced smartwatches the company has released. It’s built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 platform and adds serious health-tracking tools, including ECG and EMG sensors.
ECG has become standard in high-end smartwatches, but EMG is something new. This feature measures muscle electrical activity, which could help monitor neuromuscular health or aid athletes in optimizing training routines. What Xiaomi plans to do with this tech remains unclear but it marks a bold step into deeper physiological tracking.
The hardware reflects the ambition. Xiaomi opted for a stainless steel body and double-sided sapphire crystal, giving the Watch 5 not just durability, but a premium feel to match its high-end features.
Xiaomi Buds 6 focus on lossless audio and AI smarts
The Xiaomi Buds 6 are also joining the December 25 launch lineup. Early teasers reveal a compact design in black, white, and pink, with a heavy focus on lossless wireless audio a feature typically found in audiophile-grade products. AI-powered real-time translation is also being teased, potentially putting these earbuds in competition with pricier offerings from Apple and Sony.
While active noise cancellation hasn’t been explicitly confirmed, it’s almost certainly included, especially given Xiaomi’s recent track record.
Here’s what’s expected at the launch event:
- Watch 5
- Snapdragon W5 chip
- ECG and EMG sensors
- Stainless steel + sapphire crystal design
- Buds 6
- Lossless wireless audio
- AI real-time translation
- Three color options (black, white, pink)
Wearables may arrive globally in 2026
All three devices the Watch 5, Buds 6, and 17 Ultra will debut in China on December 25. Global availability remains unclear, but a broader release during Mobile World Congress in March 2026 wouldn’t be surprising.
For now, Xiaomi fans can expect a high-end holiday drop that brings serious tech upgrades to the wrist and ears. It’s not just about the phone anymore it’s building out an entire ecosystem, and it’s looking sharper than ever.
