Now, the same logic applies to system memory. The process involves obtaining blank DDR5 PCBs (printed circuit boards), purchasing individual memory chips, and manually assembling these components.

In contrast, pre-built 16GB modules from brands like A-Tech sell for around $190, representing a cost advantage of approximately $40.

Clearly, this approach isn’t for everyone. A successful outcome requires precise soldering skills, access to testing tools, and the courage to accept potential failures. Furthermore, there’s no warranty to protect you if something goes wrong.
