The South Korean tech giant continues to quietly enhance its mobile web browser. The highly anticipated One UI 9 update is set to overhaul both the naming and capabilities of the app. Formerly known as Samsung Internet, the application will now move forward simply as Samsung Browser.
One UI 9 Update Introduces Multi-Window Support
According to a new report shared by SammyGuru, the upcoming version of the browser supports running multiple windows simultaneously. Users will no longer be forced to constantly switch between tabs; instead, separate browser windows can be opened easily on a single screen at the same time.

Leaked test images clearly indicate that this innovation is not exclusive to foldable devices. The feature runs smoothly on both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy S21 FE. Especially on large-screen devices, keeping different browsing sessions open side-by-side provides a significant boost in productivity.
AI Assistant and Hidden Menus Revealed
The same test build contains several minor tweaks deep within the application. The previously detected AI assistant feature now appears with an official beta tag. Additionally, a new cross-device synchronization button has been spotted in the app’s debug menu. Although this option is not currently active, it provides important clues regarding future functionalities.
This specific version of the browser is directly tied to the new interface version. Therefore, for these innovations to reach end-users, the company needs to launch its next major software update. With months to go before the rollout of the new UI, the development team is expected to further stabilize these features in the interim.
What are your thoughts on Samsung’s rebranding and the new multi-window feature? Do you think the new AI assistant will make Samsung Browser your primary mobile browser?
