ASUS has taken the stage with its new star, the ZenBook S 16, a competitor to the MacBook. Introduced at Computex 2024, the laptop has garnered praise for both its elegant design and standout performance. Here are all the details…
ASUS ZenBook S 16 attracts attention with its powerful features
When you see the lid of the ZenBook S 16, you immediately understand how meticulous ASUS has been. ASUS used a new material called “Ceraluminum.” This material, subjected to chemical and electrical processes, provides a durable and smooth surface. The geometric lines on the lid give the laptop a modern and sophisticated look. It comes in two color options: Zumaia Gray and Scandinavian White.
This 16-inch laptop is only 0.43 inches thick and weighs 3.3 pounds. So, it is both thin and lightweight. This makes it easy to carry, whether you are using it in the office or on the go.
The screen of the ZenBook S 16 is truly eye-catching. Featuring 3K resolution (2880×1800 pixels) and a 16:10 aspect ratio, the screen uses a 120Hz OLED panel. This means the colors are vibrant and clear, and the blacks are deep and realistic.
The internal hardware of this laptop is also impressive. The ZenBook S 16 uses AMD’s new Ryzen 9 AI 300 “Strix Point” processors. These processors are equipped with Zen 5 cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics units, and an enhanced neural processing unit (NPU). By processing AI workloads locally, they offer 50 TOPS (trillion operations per second) performance.
In addition to this powerful processor, the ASUS ZenBook S 16 supports up to 32GB of 7500MHz memory and 2TB of M.2 SSD storage. Its 78Wh battery promises long working hours, but we will see its real performance and battery life when we test it.
Despite its thin design, the ZenBook S 16 does not compromise on connectivity options. It features a USB Type-A port, two USB Type-C connections, an HDMI port, and an SD card reader. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 and has a military standard 810 durability certification. You can adjust the brightness and volume with its smart touchpad.
The ASUS ZenBook S 16 will be available in July. What do you think about this new laptop? Don’t forget to share your thoughts with us…
