Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, which aims to increase its market share in the Android smartphone market, seems to be making new moves. After introducing the Redmi K70 Ultra Championship Edition with a Lamborghini-inspired design, it appears that the brand may have reached another agreement with the automotive giant. The Redmi K80 series could also be added to the Championship Edition series in collaboration with Lamborghini. Here are the details…
Redmi K80 Pro and Ultra Could Be Introduced with Lamborghini Sponsorship
At the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia 2024 event held recently, Wang Teng Thomas, Vice General Manager of Xiaomi China’s Marketing Department and General Manager of the Redmi brand, spoke about new developments in Redmi’s partnership with Lamborghini. Previously, the two companies partnered on the Redmi K70 Pro and K70 Ultra devices, and now, this collaboration could extend to the K80 Pro and Ultra models.
During the event, the Redmi logo was spotted on a Lamborghini vehicle for the first time. This indicates a new agreement between the two companies and suggests that the partnership will likely be valid for the K80 series, expected to be introduced in the coming months.
In October, with the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, Xiaomi will introduce the 15 and 15 Pro models. Meanwhile, Redmi is preparing to launch the Note 14 series in China later this month. In November, Redmi is expected to unveil three models: Redmi K80e, Redmi K80, and Redmi K80 Pro.
The K80 and K80 Pro, which have already been spotted in some databases, are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 4 processors, respectively. With the later announcement of the K80 Ultra, we might once again see a Championship Edition series.
