Huawei will introduce its new Pura 80 series and various smart products on June 11. The series, announced with the slogan “See beyond with foresight”, is said to stand out with hardware and software innovations in the field of mobile imaging.
What will the Huawei Pura 80 series offer?
The two large camera lenses seen in the promotional image give clues about the camera capabilities of the series. It is said that both of these lenses can be periscope-style telephoto. According to leaked information, this dual periscope system will be specific to the Pura 80 Ultra model.

A 1-inch special LOFIC CMOS sensor developed by SmartSens will be used in the Pura 80 Ultra. This sensor, carrying the model number SC5A0CS, is based on Huawei’s RYYB pixel array. Thanks to LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology, higher performance will be provided in low light and scenes requiring high dynamic range.
In addition, this model will feature a 50-megapixel resolution, 1/1.3-inch periscope telephoto lens. The size of this lens is larger than the Samsung HP9 sensor currently on the market.
The other members of the series, the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro+ models, will also come with remarkable upgrades. It is stated that all models will use the new version of Huawei’s Maple Original Color Imaging technology. This system works with advanced calibration algorithms to increase color accuracy and ensure natural images. Instead of a pop-up lens structure, the series will feature a compact camera module with four sensors arranged in a triangular or circular pattern.
The Huawei Pura 80 series will come out of the box with the HarmonyOS 5 operating system. The new version, introduced in March, has received various improvements in security, fluidity and ecosystem integration with the latest updates. The devices will also use the Kirin 9020 processor. With this processor, users are expected to encounter a more stable and high-performance system in their daily experience.
