Motorola to Produce a Foldable Phone with a Motorized Hinge
Brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, and Huawei have introduced powerful devices to the foldable smartphone world. Motorola, which has recently gained momentum, is also aiming for the top with its strong devices in this sector. A patent discovered by Notebookcheck reveals the company’s new design.
Motorola may add a new model to its Razr series in the coming years, one that will be a first for the brand. According to the patent images, Motorola will release a foldable smartphone equipped with a motorized hinge mechanism.

The Motorola model with a motorized hinge will allow the foldable cover to close on its own. This design will be particularly useful during video calls, where the hinge can automatically adjust the angle of the cover to focus the camera on the person speaking.
Once you’re finished with your tasks, the cover will close automatically, and it will also open on its own when needed. However, there are no details yet on whether this command will be triggered by voice or touch. It seems we’ll need to wait a bit longer to see Motorola’s design in action.
