The highly anticipated free-to-play version of the Battlefield series, one of the gaming giants, has been officially announced. The new game, Battlefield REDSEC, is launching as a direct competitor to Warzone, the free-to-play version of Call of Duty. REDSEC is available to players with the first season of Battlefield 6.
Battlefield REDSEC is coming
Battlefield REDSEC launches today at 6:00 PM ET. The game will be free to play on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Players do not need to own the full version of Battlefield 6 to play REDSEC.
Electronic Arts (EA) is keeping details about the new game under wraps. No detailed information, screenshots, or videos have been released yet regarding REDSEC. However, initial leaks shed light on the game’s structure.
According to these leaks, a total of 100 players will fight for survival in REDSEC. The first phase of the game will feature 2-player Duo and 4-player Squad modes. Single-player and three-player modes will be added to the game later.
In addition to the classic Battle Royale mode, REDSEC also features a mission-focused Gauntlet mode. In this new mode, the teams with the lowest scores will face elimination. EA will release the game’s trailer tomorrow night at 6:00 PM. Players will need to wait for the trailer and the game’s release to learn more.
