Instagram is working on new features that will allow users to customize their profiles. Finally, Instagram, which has been in the testing process for a while, has activated the innovation of adding songs to the profile. With this feature, you will be able to pin a song to your profile address.
Instagram announced the feature of adding songs to profile
Instagram will allow users to add songs to their profiles, inspired by a popular feature on MSN in the 2000s. Social media users can now add a song from the platform’s music library via the “edit profile” page.
A 30-second snippet of the song will appear on the profile. The song will be prominently displayed in the biography section so that other users can see it. However, the songs will not automatically play on Instagram profiles.
Pop star Sabrina Carpenter was one of the names that introduced Instagram’s new feature. Carpenter’s profile features her currently unreleased song. The famous name, who placed a special part of the song called Taste on her profile, also highlighted Instagram’s new feature.
On the other hand, Instagram wants to change the design on the home page. Accordingly, photos and videos on the square profile grid will be replaced by vertical rectangular photos and videos. This change is currently in the testing phase and some users have started to experience the new format
When it was announced that the app would be renewed, this change was criticized by many users. In particular, users who design according to the square format in profile grids are worried that this new arrangement may frustrate all their efforts.
