The popular science fiction series Star Trek is getting ready to return to the big screen with a new series. The series, titled “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy,” will focus on the story of young officers training at Starfleet Academy. Paramount+ released a fresh trailer for this upcoming series at the New York Comic-Con event in the United States.
Starfleet Academy Arrives
Starfleet Academy, a new addition to the Star Trek series, sets its entire story at Starfleet Academy, as its name suggests, and will follow the adventures of young officer candidates training there.
The series’ cast includes Kerrice Brooks, Karim Diane, George Hawkins, Bella Shephard, Zoe Steiner, and Gina Yashere, who portray the story’s young characters. In addition to the young actors, the cast also includes renowned film veterans Paul Giamatti and Holly Hunter.
Alex Kurtzman, who helmed the modern Star Trek series, also leads the creative team for Starfleet Academy. Kurtzman created the series with Noga Landau (Nancy Drew).
