Game studio MachineGames has confirmed plans to work on the third installment of the Wolfenstein series. The studio stated that the story was conceived as a trilogy from the outset.
A new Wolfenstein game is coming soon
This statement was included in a new documentary dedicated to the series. Studio head Jerk Gustafsson stated that the script was initially conceived as a three-game story.

The Wolfenstein series stands out as one of the studio’s most well-known projects. The New Order and The New Colossus, in particular, received critical acclaim from both critics and gamers. However, the studio is currently focusing its entire focus on “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.”
There were concerns among fans about the series’ continuation. Many were concerned that MachineGames would focus solely on the Indiana Jones project. Gustafsson’s statements have alleviated these concerns. However, the final decision will be made by Microsoft, which has been a subsidiary of MachineGames since 2021.
This development is welcome news for Xbox gamers and fans of the series. MachineGames, acquired by Microsoft, is expected to complete a long-established series like Wolfenstein. This move aligns with Microsoft’s strategy for studio acquisitions.
It allows the acquired studios to continue and complete their existing projects. With development of the third installment underway, fans of the series are eager to see how the story will conclude.
