Honor is finally adding an Ultra model to its flagship smartphone lineup. According to reliable industry sources, the new phone will be named the Honor Magic 8 Ultra and will be part of the brand’s Magic 8 family.
The countdown has begun for the Honor Magic 8 Ultra
Rumors of an Ultra model have been circulating since the Magic 7 series, but a device never materialized. It appears that is about to change. The Magic 8 Ultra is expected to be officially announced in October.

The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. For its camera hardware, it will include an OmniVision LOFIC main sensor paired with a 200-megapixel periscope lens.
A senior Honor executive, Luo Wei, stated that the phone will not use a 1-inch main camera sensor. Instead, he claimed the Ultra model will deliver a camera experience “no one has ever seen before.”
