Samsung continues to expand its product lineup. The South Korean company is now preparing to add a new entry-level model to its portfolio. The smartphone, expected to launch as the Galaxy A17 5G, has recently passed a major certification hurdle. Here are the details!
Galaxy A17 5G Receives FCC Certification
The Galaxy A17 5G, listed with the model number SM-A176B/DS, has been certified by the FCC. According to the listing, the device supports connectivity features such as 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3 + LE, and NFC. It will also offer microSD card support, allowing users to expand storage regardless of the built-in capacity.

There haven’t been many reports about the device so far, so details remain scarce. However, some sources suggest it will feature a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, just like its predecessor.
Another notable detail is the camera setup. Unless there’s a last-minute change, the device is expected to feature a 50 MP main camera with OIS (optical image stabilization). It will reportedly ship with Android 15 out of the box, running Samsung’s One UI 7 interface.
