HAVELSAN and the United Arab Emirates-based defense industry company CALIDUS signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the IDEF 2025 fair to develop a comprehensive training ecosystem for the B-250 light attack and basic trainer aircraft.
This cooperation symbolizes the culmination of a process that began with the signing of a memorandum of intent at SAHA EXPO and the official contract signed at IDEF 2025. The agreement encompasses not only the delivery of training systems but also innovation, security, and a long-term strategic partnership.
End-to-End Training Systems from HAVELSAN
Under the agreement, HAVELSAN will offer integrated solutions addressing all phases of the pilot training process:

Flight Training Simulator (FTD) – A simulation system that simulates real-world mission scenarios with advanced flight dynamics.
Partial Mission Simulators (PTT) – Training modules focusing on mission-critical maneuvers and subsystems.
Cockpit Entry/Exit Training Device (CIES) – A safety-focused training opportunity for emergency evacuation procedures.
Briefing/Debriefing Station (DBR) – An interactive platform for mission planning, analysis, and performance evaluation.
Computer-Assisted Training (CBT) – A digital training infrastructure that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical preparation.
These systems, developed by HAVELSAN, will be installed at CALIDUS facilities in the United Arab Emirates and will serve as an integrated service for regional operations.

Technology That Adds Value to People
HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar stated the following about the project:
“At HAVELSAN, we design our simulation solutions not only to accurately reflect reality but also to prepare pilots for unexpected scenarios. This project, carried out with CALIDUS, is a strong reflection of our vision of developing integrated and reliable systems that put people at the center.”
CALIDUS General Manager and CEO Dr. Khalifa Murad Al Balooshi commented:
“Our selection of HAVELSAN’s training expertise will provide B-250 users with modern, advanced technology-based, and future-ready capabilities. This collaboration forms the foundation of a long-term strategic partnership built on trust and innovation.”

A Strategic Step Forward
This agreement signed between HAVELSAN and CALIDUS goes beyond simply being a commercial agreement; it highlights the importance of sustainable collaborations and strategic partnerships in shaping the future of aviation.
