A major incident has been unfolding on X (formerly Twitter) since yesterday. With its new update, the X artificial intelligence model Grok has become much more outspoken than before, attracting criticism. An investigation was launched yesterday by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding Grok, who began cursing at everyone upon command, and a decision was reached today. A decision has been submitted to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) to block Grok’s access. Here are the details.
Access Blocked for the Artificial Intelligence Model Grok
Last week, Elon Musk posted about Grok’s update, claiming that its new features would be easily detectable. Users have also tried this method, and have managed to get everyone to curse. During the chaos, Grok sent numerous insulting messages, and an access ban may be being imposed on him. It’s reported that Grok has been suspended and is not responding except for image creation.

Following the incident, X executives announced their efforts to resolve the situation, posting, “We are working to remove inappropriate content,” late last night. The administrators who began deleting the posts provided the following statement:
- We are aware of Grok’s recent posts and are actively working to remove any inappropriate content.
- After becoming aware of the content, xAI took measures to prevent Grok from engaging in hate speech before posting on X.
- xAI trains a truth-seeking AI, and thanks to millions of users on X, we can quickly identify and update areas where the model’s training can be improved.
