Another Nintendo Direct might be on the horizon, and with it comes the usual flurry of predictions, wishlists, and wild speculation. But for fans holding out hope for Ace Attorney 7, one trusted leaker just slammed the gavel on that theory.
Ace Attorney 7 ruled out by Nintendo Direct leaker

The news comes from SwitchForce, a leaker with a solid track record when it comes to Direct teases. This time around, they hinted that three games with a connection to the number “seven” would headline the next showcase. Naturally, that opened the floodgates.
Fans began posting their guesses, one of the more popular combinations being Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, Ace Attorney 7, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. But SwitchForce stepped in to debunk that trio and specifically ruled out Ace Attorney 7 from the lineup altogether.
What were the rumored “seven” games?
Here’s the fan-predicted trio that sparked the debate:
- Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade
- Ace Attorney 7
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
According to the leaker, this isn’t the correct combo. Ace Attorney 7, at least, is definitely out.
Three “seven” games are still coming, but not this one
While it is off the table, the mystery remains. The “three sevens” tease still stands, and the leaker hasn’t ruled out the other two games from the list. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade could make sense, especially if it’s being prepped for a Switch 2 launch window. Black Ops 7 showing up would be a bold move, but Microsoft has been pushing hard on Nintendo crossover support lately.
Ace Attorney fans are still waiting in the wings
It’s been years since Capcom dropped The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, and even longer since the mainline series saw a fresh entry. Hopes were high for it, but unless the leaker is playing coy, it won’t appear this month.
The Direct might still hold surprises, but Phoenix Wright isn’t one of them.
