Acer has turned to AI-based technologies with two new wearable products introduced at the Computex 2025 trade show. The company’s new AI TransBuds headphone model draws attention with its real-time translation feature. The headset, which can instantly translate 15 different languages, can translate two-way conversations with just one person’s use.

The device detects speech through the dual microphones on it and offers instant voice translation with the help of AI. According to Acer, this technology can be used for many scenarios such as daily conversations, business meetings, live broadcasts and distance education.
TransBuds also allows users to follow conversations in real time and review them later with its live subtitle and speech transcription features. However, the headset is paired with a smartphone or tablet via a plug-and-play receiver for the real-time translation feature. Acer did not share the details of the AI engine used for translation.
Another product introduced, the Acer FreeSense Ring, is positioned in the health-focused smart ring category. This ultra-lightweight titanium alloy ring can track basic health data such as heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels and sleep quality.
All the data obtained can be viewed in a mobile app that offers personalized recommendations. Acer states that there is no subscription fee for using the FreeSense Ring and that it provides unlimited access to all health data. Thus, the device offers a practical and accessible alternative for daily health monitoring.
